"Eman's gardening program provides children with hands-on, authentic experiences that connect them to nature and to themselves.  Her lessons engage all of the children's senses and ignite curiosity and critical thinking.  At our lunch table, every banana peel and food scrap is now excitedly discussed as a potential meal for our composting worms.  During neighborhood walks, students excitedly check on their adopted tree.  Eman's program has permeated and enriched so many facets of our classroom, and her warmth and authenticity make this collaboration a joy.  Eman invites children to consider their own responsibility to each other and the greater community and empowers them to take action.  They are so proud of their work and of themselves!"
